The
Assembly for the Protection of Hijab invites all people of every
religion, nationality and background to celebrate the International
Hijab solidarity day as a show of their love for freedom, human rights
and civil liberties.
Pro-Hijab was established to campaign for the right of Muslim women to
wear their Hijab and for all religious groups to be allowed to
practice their faith unimpeded.
International Hijab Solidarity day is an opportunity for all people,
whether they wear Hijab or not, to show their solidarity with all
those who are oppressed by religiously intolerant laws in countries
such as France, Germany and other parts of the world.

Events
will take place all over the world on the same day.
In England, a
picket will take place:
Outside the French Embassy, Knightsbridge
Road, London
12.00pm – 2.00pm.
This is in protest of the French government’s ban on the Hijab and
what it terms ‘religious symbols’ in public institutions including
schools, and coincides with the return to school for the autumn term.
