International Hijab Solidarity Day 2005 - Hijab
Unveiled- A Day of Reflection
Saturday 3rd September will be marked across the world as
International Hijab Solidarity Day. In Britain, a gathering will be
hosted by Protect-Hijab titled ‘Hijab Unveiled- A Day of Reflection’.
For many women, the Hijab is an expression of religious conviction and
worn proudly in obedience to the revelations in the Holy Qur’an.
Protect-Hijab invites all Muslims and non-Muslims to attend the
gathering; to celebrate the Hijab and express their support for
freedom of dress and religion.
An array of public figures who support Protect-Hijab will attend and
address the gathering.
